ELECTRONIC SECURITY & FIRE SYSTEMS

Design, Installation, Maintenance and Support of Electronic Security & Fire Systems

WHAT WE DO

RCR Systems design specialise in Access Control system installation and Access Control system maintenance for both domestic and commercial customers. We also carry out Access Control System repairs and Access Control system upgrades to existing systems.

Access Control Systems range from a simple mechanical combination lock to a multi-door on line computer controlled system. Many businesses need to restrict the flow of employees or visitors to certain areas of their premises which may be sensitive or vulnerable. Security is vital 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Therefore access control can be of significant importance on who has access to your premises.

Access control has a wide variety of applications to operate gates, barriers and doors. From stand alone telephone and video entry systems to on line computer controlled installations, integrating magnetic card and proximity readers.

RCR Systems has the solution for your requirement, on premises from flats and offices to colleges, hospitals and hotels. We connect access control systems to Building Management Systems (BMS) which can enable efficient, intelligent buildings which will turn off/on lighting, power, CCTV and Alarm Systems via an action from using an access control card.

RCR Systems provide Door Entry System installation and Intercom installation for a wide variety of Door Entry Systems or Door Intercom systems specifically designed for our customers individual requirements. These systems vary from a single button audio calling station outside the premises, to large audio/video multi-calling stations to audio video multi-handset systems, typically in blocks of apartments.

Door Entry systems provide a safe and convenient way of authorising access to your property. Visitors can be interrogated with the latest range of audio and video door entry systems linked to handsets monitors or “trend setting” internal recessed modules within the property. These units are so compact they hardly take up any space and a selection of specialised finishes can match in harmony with your décor.

Being able to see who is at the door can be more important than just speaking to them. This is because with this system you are able to see the person before you allow them access to the property.

Video entry systems are available in monochrome or colour and can be interfaced with internal TV networks and/or CCTV Systems. Some dynamic systems allow the facility of communication via an interface with the internal telephone system for maximum convenience and can also be integrated with access control systems.

In addition to this we can integrate entry panels to telephone systems so that a telephone or telephone extension on a switchboard can answer an entry panel call, or indeed the entry panel can make a call to anywhere in the world, and from that location the door or gate can be unlocked remotely!

RCR Systems can design, install, maintain, repair and takeover Automated Gates, Automatic Gates or Electric Gate systems for both domestic and commercial customers.

Controlling the access of both people and vehicles onto site is now an essential management tool for many businesses. Automatic Gates provide a visual and physical deterrent to any intrusion. Installing one not only improves overall site security, but will also facilitate site management.

Benefits of Installing Automatic Gates:

  • Automatic Gates are an excellent way of controlling entry into your home or business premises. They provide a visual and physical deterrent to anyone you do not want to access your property.
  • Automatic Gates provide added safety to families with young children, ensuring that no child can stray out of your supervision.
  • You can improve your security and safety by controlling vehicle movement, recording vehicles entering and exiting the premises, and using Selective Access Control Systems to ensure that staff or visitors in your business premises or home are safely managed.
  • When gates, barriers and turnstiles are integrated with Access Control and CCTV your site will have the complete control package, allowing you to monitor, record and control movement of staff and visitors- throughout the premises.

RCR Systems design, install, maintain, repair and takeover intruder alarms, burglar alarms for both domestic and commercial customers.

The police say that most burglary is opportunistic in nature, committed against the weakest available target. Every year there are over 1 million burglaries and attempted burglaries. 20% of households experience more than one incident a year, 13% are burgled twice and 7% three or more times.

Most insurance companies allow discounted premiums for having a professionally installed alarm because it reduces the risk. Furthermore, protection is not vastly expensive, certainly not compared to the misery that can result from its absence. All intruder alarms installed by RCR Systems are Police and insurance approved.

RCR Systems consider three keywords to be important to their intruder alarms. They are designed, installed and maintained:

Designed: A system designed for your own requirements during a visit to your home or business by one of our professional alarm surveyors.

Installed: A system expertly fitted by an Intelligent Security and Fire Engineer.

Maintained: A system inspected and serviced at regular intervals by our Service Engineers designed specifically for your requirements.

Many security policies require an early deterrent, in the form of a perimeter, to be established. Technology selection alongside the form of perimeter created will always provide the best option for creating the correct level of protection. This can provide for all types of wall and fence as well as open, natural perimeters that can be created.

Our perimeter management portfolio includes CCTV, thermal cameras, video analytics, sensor wires for fence and underground, IR sensors, lighting options.

Our main considerations in this area of our expertise cover:

  • A definition of the events and reactions they initiate
  • Integration of detection systems with other platforms
  • Determination of the potential for false alarms and designing for low alarm rates

RCR Systems design, install, maintain, repair and takeover Fire Alarms and Fire Detection systems for both domestic and commercial customers.

Initiating Devices:

  • Initiating Devices are manual or automatic devices that are used to operate notification devices. An automatic initiating device will respond automatically to an element of fire such as heat or smoke, whereas a manual device, such as a Break Glass Station, relies on somebody noticing the fire.
  • Smoke Detection- an automatic device that uses optical detection via a beam of light that is distorted by smoke, ionization using a radioisotope, or both.
  • Heat Detection- an automatic device that detects rises in heat and activates the notification system to a fixed temperature of heat, a rate of heat rise, or both.
  • Flame Detection- an automatic device that uses optical sensors to detect flames.
  • Aspirating Systems- an automatic device that draws air through a system of pipes and processes it using a laser-based detection unit. This automatic device can detect smoke before it is visible to the human eye.

Notification Devices:

  • Voice Evacuation Systems – This is a system that, upon receiving notification of a fire from one of the above devices, plays a pre-recorded message alerting anybody in the building to evacuate. These can also be used by staff to provide relevant information and instructions as the situation unfolds.
  • Public Address Systems – Public Address Systems are used for personnel to address occupants of a building over a speaker system, providing them with information and instructions.

Other Systems:

  • Radio Systems – These are systems that bypass the need to wire your devices together, meaning that you can move them to where they are most needed. This is especially useful in construction sites, where the layout of the site changes frequently.
  • Networked Systems – In a networked system, two or more control panels can be linked together, forming a system of devices. This is particularly useful where one panel is insufficient, or on a site with several buildings.
  • Fire Alarm Graphic Annunciators – These are displays that give a graphic indicator of the location in which an initiating device has been triggered. These are useful in order for respondents to rapidly isolate the cause of a fire.
  • Fixed Extinguishing Systems – These systems are used to protect sensitive areas such as server rooms, archives, and control rooms. They fill an area with an agent in order to quickly extinguish a fire, and can be used for various types of possible fires depending on their chosen agent.
  • Remote Monitored Systems – These are used in order to alert a Fire Response Service when one of your initiation devices registers a fire. A signal is passed to an Alarm Receiving Centre, which is then in turn relayed to the Fire Response Service.

RCR Systems have been installing, maintaining, and repairing CCTV systems to homes, schools, council buildings, shops, office blocks, surgeries, garages, warehouses and many other types of properties for many years with great success. We can cater for CCTV systems from a simple one camera set-up to a system with hundreds of cameras.

A CCTV system can form an important part of a security plan for domestic, commercial and industrial premises. CCTV provides both a visual deterrent to would-be burglars or vandals and evidence of any incident that may occur. CCTV complements other forms of security, such as Intruder Alarms and Security Shutters.

If you are considering installing a security system on your premises, RCR Systems offer a free, no-obligation site survey so that you can find the security solution best fitted to your needs. One of our surveyors will visit the premises and use their expertise and your input to deliver a no-nonsense quote that will encompass labour, parts, and installation.
